WHO WE ARE
VBX Telecom develops and integrates new generation IP-based PBX systems and communication solutions, which means we can provide the SME market with cost-saving, flexible and customisable telephony solutions. VBX is focused on the small to medium business sector, and has had many successful implementations, particularly in companies with multiple, distributed branches.
VBX Communications (Pty) Ltd was formed in 2006 to take advantage of the potential created by the deregulation of the South African telecommunications arena. A slow shift started towards offering alternatives to the traditional telecom solutions and we were at the forefront of these developments from the very start.
VBX is focused on the small to medium business sector, and has had many successful implementations, particularly in companies with multiple, distributed branches. These companies experience large cost savings on inter-branch calls as well as the benefits of an integrated company-wide dial plan. We also offer inbound, outbound and hybrid call centre solutions. The flexibility and scalability of our systems allow us to customise our offering to any size business and for it to grow with the needs of the business.
With our head office in Johannesburg and R&D facilities in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, we have customers all over South Africa and as far afield as Mozambique, with plans to expand internationally. Our product solutions have relevance in a number of market sectors, and are therefore ideally suited to both the African and international markets.

The expansion of MWeb Business into the voice market has resulted in a successful partnership with VBX Telecom. As one of only two PBX vendors, the VBX VoIP solution is offered by MWeb Business under their MTalk Webcall product portfolio, and is available throughout South Africa. MTalk Webcall offers unlimited free calls to other Webcall phone numbers, post-paid billing, savings on local, international and cell phone calls, inclusive minutes and the ability to call from anywhere in the world with a fast internet connection.
